As in recent years, On The Border was one of the largest hosts of Cinco de Mayo celebrations across the country.
| |
In fact, Cinco de Mayo 2007 was our second-largest day ever in terms of sales.
| |
We continued to expand our presence throughout the United States in the past year with the opening of
| |
14 company-owned restaurants, bringing our domestic total to 158 restaurants in 32 states. In addition, we signed agreements with franchise partners SDWYO, BorderWest Partners, and Moussa Haidar to bring 27 more On The Border restaurants to Wyoming, South Dakota, California, and South Texas in the coming years. |

Looking ahead to fiscal year 2008, we’re excited about the addition of a flexible new footprint that can be housed inside
| |
existing retail spaces, such as grocery-anchored shopping centers and strip malls. By integrating more fully into our guests’ neighborhoods, we look forward to stronger guest counts in our dining rooms, deeper penetration in existing markets, and increased To-Go orders. In addition, the required capital investment for this neighborhood model is considerably less than our freestanding restaurants, which we believe will make On The Border an even more attractive option for potential franchise partners. |

Also on the horizon for the coming year is a new service platform – “Serve With Mucho Gusto” – that identifies the
| |
behaviors required of our team members to exceed guest expectations. This initiative helps us deliver high-energy
hospitality as only On The Border can.
