Job Summary:
- This position requires knowledge of basic financial
processes, which may or may not be acquired through formal training. Individuals in
these positions manage several tasks at one time and are called upon to troubleshoot and
provide practical solutions to problems. This position requires interaction
primarily with internal team members, but may involve work with individuals outside of
Brinker.
Qualifications
Education / Training:
- College degree including Basic Accounting Principles I &
II or equivalent work related experience required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Display basic knowlege of accounting principles; ability to
apply principles to job responsibilites.
- Have strong computer skills; working knowledge in mainframe
and Windows environment (Microsoft Excel a plus).
- Display attention to detail with consistent accuracy.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills; ability to
effectively work on multiple questions/ requests concurrently.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills; ability
to communicate successfully with Operations and the Accounting Department; use tact and
diplomacy.
- Display working knowledge of Brinker accounting system
relating to procedures for processign information from Operations and Corporate.
- Maintain a positive attitude and display a high level of
patience while resolving difficult situations.
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of general accounting experience in a computerized
environment in lieu of college Accounting hours.
- 1-3 years of Brinker work experience a plus.
- Informal training / knowledge of various systems; Accounts
Payable, General Ledger, Food Cost, Distribution Center, Fixed Asset a plus.
